Baujobs Schweiz is a free job board for construction and the trades anywhere in Switzerland. Maurer, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, joiners, painters, Polymechaniker, installers and unskilled site helpers search one board, and every posting on it is hands-on work.
A lot of site work is filled through staffing agencies rather than by the firms themselves, so both post here. A three-week assignment on a site in Aargau sits next to a permanent job at a family-run joinery in Graubünden, and the posting says which one it is.
How it works
- 1Search by trade or keyword, such as Elektriker, Sanitär or Hilfsarbeiter, then narrow by canton, employment type, workload or company size.
- 2Each ad shows the job in full, the firm or agency behind it, the workload and the pay when it is given. You apply with the employer directly, never through us.
- 3Need people on site? Describe the job and click the confirmation link in your inbox; a short automatic review runs before the ad is published. Free, and no login.
Why it’s free
Small building firms and one-person workshops hire when a contract comes in, not on a recruiting calendar, and a posting fee is exactly what keeps them off job boards. Workers should not pay to find their next site either, so both sides stay free.
Common questions
- Do I need a completed apprenticeship?
- Not for every job. Helper positions often ask for no formal qualification, while skilled roles usually want an EFZ or an equivalent. Each posting says what it expects.
- Are temporary jobs listed?
- Yes. Assignments through staffing agencies appear alongside permanent jobs, and the employment type filter separates the two.
- Is the pay shown?
- Where the posting states it. In the main construction sector the national collective agreement (LMV) sets minimum wages, and the board shows what the employer writes rather than estimating.
- Can I find work in Romandie and Ticino?
- Yes, through the canton or town filter. Postings from the French- and Italian-speaking regions keep their language, and a translation appears once it is ready.
- How does a firm take a filled job down?
- With the private link sent by email once the ad is published, no login needed. That link takes the ad offline but cannot rewrite it, so a changed job is posted afresh.
