What this policy covers
This policy explains what Baujobs Schweiz processes about you, why, and what you can ask for. It applies to every page of the site and to the emails the site sends. We keep what is needed to run the service and build no advertising profiles.
Visiting the site
Baujobs Schweiz runs on Cloudflare's network. Each request leaves a log entry with your IP address, the time, the page requested, your browser type and the referring page. Cloudflare keeps these logs for a short period to run and protect the service, which is our legitimate interest. We do not build profiles from them.
Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks for signs of automation in the browser instead of showing a puzzle. Traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and no cross-site identifiers: it counts page views and page speed, not people.
The contact form
A message through the contact form stores your name, your email address, your message and the site it came from in our mail archive, so that we can read and answer it. We keep correspondence; it is not deleted on a schedule.
Search alerts
An alert stores the search, your email address, the chosen frequency and when the last digest went out. It becomes active only after you confirm the address, and it stops when you unsubscribe through the link in any alert email. The basis is your consent.
Posting a job
Posting an opening stores the posting, the email address you used, the dates it was created, confirmed, published and expires, and a salted hash of your IP address used only to limit the posting rate. The address is used for the confirmation, the live notice and the manage link, nothing else.
A published posting is public: it appears on Baujobs Schweiz and on our sister sites, in feeds and in structured data for search engines. After expiry it is no longer listed. Postings collected from public job sources carry what those sources published, including a company name and an application link.
Automated processing
Everything submitted for publication is screened by automated systems before it goes live: AI models run on Cloudflare Workers AI, and OpenAI's moderation service, which checks text and images for illegal content. These systems decide whether a submission is published; there is no human review step. Only what is needed for the check is sent. Messages through the contact form are read by us, not by a machine.
Who else sees data
We run on Cloudflare for hosting, database, file storage, email delivery and the AI models above. Cloudflare processes data in the European Union and the United States under its data processing terms. OpenAI processes the text and images sent for moderation in the United States.
When an email reaches one of our addresses, a short notice with the sender's address and the subject line may go to our operator channel on Telegram, so that we see it; the message itself stays in our archive. Beyond the providers named here, no company receives personal data from us. We do not sell or rent it, and we show no third-party advertising.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to a use, or withdraw a consent. Write through the contact form; we answer there and may ask you to confirm the email address the data is tied to.
Two limits, stated plainly: correspondence is kept, and content that others have already copied or that search engines have indexed is beyond our reach once removed here. If you are in Switzerland you can also turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner; in the European Union, to your local supervisory authority.
Age
Baujobs Schweiz is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly keep data about children. If a child has submitted something, tell us through the contact form.
Changes
The date at the top says when this policy last changed. A material change is announced on this page.
