Are you looking for a varied challenge at the interface of technology and quality assurance? For our customer in Herisau (AR), we are looking for a quality-conscious personality for a temporary assignment, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Equipment operation: Setting up, operating and monitoring modern production systems for fiber optic cables including material preparation.
• Process & quality assurance: Monitoring the ongoing production process, making process corrections and performing self-checks.
• Inspection & release: Precise final inspection of fiber optic cables using special measuring methods (e.g., OTDR measurements) as well as release or blocking of products.
• Documentation: Creating test and measurement results, issuing factory test certificates and managing measuring equipment.
• Logistics & safety: Timely handover of inspected products to warehouse/forwarding agent and compliance with order, cleanliness and safety regulations.

Qualifications

What you bring with you

• Technical understanding with a completed technical/manual basic training (advantageous).
• Experience in operating production systems in an industrial environment.
• Exact, independent way of working and strong sense of quality and responsibility.
• Good German skills (spoken/written) and proficient use of MS Office.
• Reliable team player with good physical condition (handling of cable reels).
