Workshop Manager Construction Machinery

In this key position, you will lead the workshop team and ensure that repairs, maintenance, and machine preparations are carried out efficiently, on schedule, and with high quality.

Your contribution:

You lead the mechanics and apprentices technically and personally and are the central contact person for all workshop matters. In doing so, you combine technical know-how with leadership competence, organizational talent, and strong customer orientation.

• Technical and organizational leadership as well as further development of the workshop team and the apprentices (total of nearly 20 people)
• Planning and controlling workshop utilization, prioritizing orders, and the sensible use of employees, apprentices, and available resources
• Ensuring quality, punctuality, productivity, and cost control
• Expert support and advice for customers regarding technical questions
• Coordination and optimization of repairs, maintenance, and machine preparations
• Preparation and discussion of repair and service offers
• Close cooperation with customer service, service, technology, training, administration, and sales, as well as active shaping of future processes and responsibilities within the workshop organization
• Control of workshop orders regarding content, quality, and cost specifications
• Continuous optimization of workflows and processes
• Ensuring occupational safety as well as compliance with internal quality and manufacturer specifications
• Responsibility for order, cleanliness, and a professionally organized workshop operation

The function thus combines operational workshop management, technical customer advice, and the continuous improvement of internal processes.

What you bring with you:

• Completed basic technical training, for example as a construction machinery, agricultural machinery, or commercial vehicle mechanic EFZ; comparable technical profiles, such as polymechanics with a focus on assembly and proven experience with heavy machines, are also welcome.
• Profound knowledge in diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of technically demanding machines
• Experience in workshop management, as a team leader or in a comparable leadership function. We are looking for someone who shows presence, provides orientation, and is perceived as part of the team.
• Further training in the technical or business administration field is an advantage
