Your responsibility

• Using the process control system, you operate and maintain the process technology stages of the wastewater treatment plants.
• You monitor the operating equipment, commission plants, recognize malfunctions, and take measures to rectify malfunctions.
• You overhaul and maintain machines and devices and assist with the installation of new plants.
• You participate in cleaning and overhaul work.

Your background

• Completed training as a Polymechanikerin/Polymechaniker EFZ, Mechatronikerin/Mechatroniker EFZ or similar.
• You possess the VSA certificate or are willing to undergo further training as a Klärwärterin/Klärwärter VSA (costs will be covered by the employer).
• Independent, solution-oriented, and responsible way of working.
• Driving license category B, good PC skills (MS-Office, process control system), as well as good German skills in spoken and written language complete your profile.

The Amt für Industrielle Betriebe (AIB) is a department of the Bau- und Umweltschutzdirektion of the Canton Basel-Landschaft. With well over 60 employees, we are responsible for 26 wastewater treatment plants, 175 kilometers of sewerage and 2 landfills. This includes not only the operation but also the preservation of value, planning, and the construction of the technical plants. With our commitment, we protect our waters and ensure the environmentally friendly treatment of recyclable materials.

What else you should know

You will be introduced step-by-step to your new tasks at the wastewater treatment plants in Füllinsdorf, Sissach, Bubendorf and Niederdorf and will benefit from the exchange of knowledge with experienced internal and external specialists. The training to become a Klärwärterin/Klärwärter VSA takes place part-time during a period of around two years.
