Activities:

• You perform shunting movements by moving, forming, and breaking apart freight trains and wagons of the individual railway wagons
• Coupling and uncoupling of locomotives and freight wagons as well as performing brake tests are part of your daily tasks
• You prepare freight trains for their journey and secure parked vehicles in the track area.

Requirements

• Readiness for shift work (24/7 – incl. weekend and night) and high flexibility
• Physically and bodily resilient
• Age range 20 - 45 years
• Preference for the four seasons / enjoy working outdoors in wind and weather (weatherproof)
• German language skills B1 (understand CH-German orally = must requirement) e.g. for the use of the radio
• High safety awareness
• Ideally experience in the manual or logistical field
• Digital affinity, no difficulty in handling modern work tools (e.g. use of a tablet)
• Flawless color vision (no red/green deficiency) and flawless reputation

Documents and clarifications

• Criminal record extract and debt enforcement register extract, not older than 3 months
• Medical fitness examinations according to BAV (Bundesamt für Verkehr) requirements
