Polymechaniker/in - Maintenance for Railway Technology

Activity

• Perform mechanical repairs, overhauls and modifications on locomotives, track construction machines and rail vehicles
• Assemble and overhaul mechanical components, assemblies and modules according to technical drawings and sketches
• Perform independent functional tests of the assembled assemblies using technical documentation
• Support electrical departments with simple repair and overhaul work
• Take on on-call duty and provide telephone support outside of regular working hours
• Requirements
• Completed vocational training as Polymechaniker EFZ or comparable with a focus on maintenance
• Several years of experience in assembly, repair and overhaul work in the mechanical field
• Sound knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Driving license category B mandatory
• Good German skills in speaking and writing and knowledge of Microsoft Office are an advantage
