The city of Langenthal forms the center of the Bernese Oberaargau with a catchment area of around 80,000 people and is the eighth largest municipality in the Canton of Bern with around 16,400 inhabitants. The city is constantly developing as an economic, social and cultural center.

For the municipal works yard, which is responsible among other things for the maintenance of the roads, paths, public facilities and bodies of water in Langenthal, we are looking for a reliable personality as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement as: Operations Employee Works Yard / Deputy Zoo Keeper (100%)

This is your job:

• Care of collection points
• Deputizing as zoo keeper: cleaning and maintenance of the facilities, animal care, feeding
• Loading the refuse trucks during general collection and special collections
• Carrying out cleaning and maintenance work of any kind (underpasses, public facilities, fountains, refuse containers, etc.)
• Auxiliary work in the areas of road construction, public facilities, transport etc.
• Cooperation at markets and festive events
• Tasks in winter service
