As an apprentice network electrician, you will be trained in the specialization of energy and ensure that electrical energy is distributed reliably throughout the entire airport area. You will assist in the laying and connection of high-voltage cables, prepare cable ends for connection, and connect them to the electrical distribution facilities. Maintenance work in transformer stations, the commissioning of protective devices, and the maintenance of lighting systems on the operational areas at Flughafen Zürich round off the exciting field of activity.

Your job destination ##

• You are responsible for the installation and maintenance of public lighting on roads, aprons, runways
• You lay and connect high-voltage cables
• Connecting transformer stations, medium- and low-voltage systems, and house connections are part of your area of responsibility
• You carry out maintenance, switching, and control work

Your skills in your luggage ##

• You have successfully completed the mandatory secondary school period
• You enjoy practical activities
• Your way of working is characterized by independence, reliability, and a sense of responsibility
• A quick grasp and a love for logical thinking are among your strengths
• Your manual dexterity and practical aptitude distinguish you
• Good physical constitution and freedom from vertigo
• No color vision deficiency (cable colors must be distinguishable)
