To meet the needs of one of our clients, a transport company from Vaud, we are looking for an HGV mechanic with Swiss experience.

HGV Mechanic

Within the workshop, you will ensure the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of heavy goods vehicles, in compliance with safety standards and the manufacturer's quality requirements. You will ensure the proper functioning and reliability of the vehicles in order to guarantee their availability and safety on the road.

Your main responsibilities

• Ensure the routine and periodic maintenance of heavy goods vehicles:
• Perform preventive and curative maintenance operations
• Carry out oil changes, servicing and periodic inspections
• Check mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components
• Replace defective parts and proceed with necessary repairs
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs:
• Identify malfunctions using diagnostic tools
• Intervene on braking, transmission, engine and suspension systems
• Perform mechanical, electrical and electronic fault finding
• Guarantee the quality and compliance of the interventions carried out
• Guarantee the safety and proper functioning of the fleet:
• Perform safety checks on vehicles
• Prepare vehicles for inspections and technical controls
• Respect internal procedures as well as safety instructions
• Ensure the tidiness and maintenance of one's workstation

Your profile

• Holder of a CFC in automobile maintenance mechanics, utility vehicle orientation, or training deemed equivalent
• Proven experience in heavy goods vehicle mechanics
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems of industrial vehicles
• Autonomy, rigor and sense of responsibility
• Ability to work in a team and manage priorities
• Category C or CE driving license: an asset
