CNC Technician - Turning

Purpose of the role

The CNC Technician – Turning is responsible for the independent manufacture of precision components on CNC turning machines in compliance with the highest quality, safety, and delivery standards. Through his technical expertise, the optimization of manufacturing processes, and the ensuring of efficient production, he makes a significant contribution to the company's success.

Responsibilities

Independent setup, operation, and monitoring of CNC turning machines

Creation, adjustment, and optimization of CNC programs with Siemens ShopTurn and/or Fanuc controls

Manufacture of individual parts as well as small and medium series according to technical drawings

Selection, preparation, and change of tools as well as clamping devices

Monitoring of manufacturing processes as well as ensuring dimensional, form, and positional tolerances

Conducting quality inspections with common measuring tools

Running in new programs and optimizing existing machining processes with regard to quality and cycle time

Maintenance and care of the machines as well as rectifying minor malfunctions

Compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards

Active participation in the continuous improvement of processes and workflows

Qualifications

Completed training as Polymechaniker/in, CNC-Mechaniker/in, Zerspanungsmechaniker/in or comparable technical training

Several years of experience in CNC turning is an advantage

Good knowledge in reading and interpreting technical drawings

Experience in dealing with Siemens ShopTurn and/or Fanuc controls

Knowledge in the programming, setup, and optimization of CNC turning machines

Confident handling of measuring and testing equipment

Independent, precise, and reliable way of working

High quality awareness and sense of responsibility

Teamwork skills as well as flexibility

Readiness for shift work (2- or 3-shift operation)
