For one of our clients, we are looking for a technically savvy personality as a Polymechanic with a focus on sinker EDM. You can expect a varied activity in a highly precise industrial environment where quality, technical understanding, and careful working are required.

The position is suitable both for experienced specialists with knowledge in EDM as well as for motivated Polymechanics who want to develop further in this specialist area.

Your task ##

• You process demanding workpieces and complex geometries in the field of sinker EDM.
• The manufacture and processing of electrodes is also part of your area of responsibility.
• In doing so, you use different manufacturing processes such as milling and turning.
• You support the technical assessment of new tasks and contribute your expertise to the development of suitable manufacturing solutions.
• You carry out the inspection of the manufactured components using suitable measuring tools independently.
• You document measurement results and ensure seamless quality control.
• You reliably implement technical changes and adjustments in the manufacturing documentation.
• For maintenance and repair work, you support other specialist departments with your know-how in the field of EDM.
• You actively participate in the optimization of manufacturing processes and operating resources.

Your profile ##

• A completed basic technical training as Polymechanic EFZ, Production Mechanic EFZ or a comparable qualification
• Experience in machining manufacturing
• Knowledge in the field of sinker EDM or wire EDM is an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement
• Even career starters or specialists without previous experience in sinker EDM will be given the opportunity to work themselves comprehensively into this specialist field
• Enjoyment of technically demanding tasks and working with very small tolerances
• A strong sense of quality and precision
• Independent, reliable and solution-oriented way of working
• High technical understanding and a careful approach
• Willingness to take responsibility and actively participate in process improvement
• Teamwork skills and open, uncomplicated communication
