Building Technician with a flair for event technology

As of January 2027, we are looking for a committed personality as a Building Technician with a flair for event technology (60%)

Since the legendary New Year's Eve party 1995/96, culture has been lived in the Galvanik. As an open-minded meeting place in the middle of Zug, it brings together a passion for culture and family warmth. With over 120 events per year – whether concerts, readings, stage shows, or parties – Galvanik offers a rich program for diverse tastes.

About the position

As a Building Technician, you ensure that the Galvanik runs – technically, organizationally, and atmospherically. From building technology to coordination with external partners and supporting event technology, you keep operations running and contribute to ensuring that events take place smoothly.

Area of responsibility Building Maintenance (Inhouse) – approx. 30%

• Safety officer
• Regular participation in team meetings and internal coordination - material management, warehouse organization, and simple administration
• Monitoring and maintenance of the building technology
• Management of the key system
• Small repairs and rectification of defects
• Grounds maintenance: stairwell, rehearsal rooms, outdoor area (incl. hedges & winter service)
• Cleaning of selected common areas (multi-purpose room, bar)
• Waste management
• Organization and coordination of craftspeople and service providers
• Interface to the city (landlord) together with the operations management
• Coordination of the cleaning company (2–3x per week)
• Responsibility for safety and building topics

Area of responsibility Event Technology – approx. 30%

• Support for the event technology crew
• Operation of lighting, sound, and stage technology
• Preparation, supervision, and follow-up of events
• Assistance with the maintenance of the event technology
• Deputy for the Event Technology Management

What you bring

• Training in a manual/craft field
• Certification as a safety officer (or willingness to complete a course)
• Technical flair and manual dexterity
• Experience in event technology or willingness to learn
• Independent, reliable, and structured way of working
• Enjoyment of culture, events, and a lively environment
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Driver's license category B or higher
