For our Mechanical department at our headquarters in Ecublens, we are looking for the following profile:

CNC Prototype Polymechanic

MISSION

You produce high-precision prototype parts as well as small series intended for our development and production activities. You are responsible for the entire machining process, from the definition of the manufacturing method to the final inspection of the parts, including CAM programming, machine setup, and production monitoring.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Have a "prototype" approach in manufacturing methods: Optimize "setup & manufacturing" time
• Create programs on Alphacam CAM software and on Heidenhain & Fanuc CNC controls
• Machine parts on conventional machines, 2/4 axis CNC lathe, 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machine, surface and cylindrical grinding, wire and sinker EDM
• Prepare, mount, and set up cutting tools in the machine
• Cut, secure, and align parts in the work area
• Set up machines according to established processes
• Verify the program on the machine in simulation
• Launch and monitor production, correct any deviations
• 100% inspect the conformity of finished parts respecting the drawing dimensions and record measured values on the machining drawing
• Mark off manufacturing order operations on the Oracle ERP
• Ensure regular maintenance of the machine park according to manufacturer instructions in collaboration with the Maintenance manager

PROFILE

• CFC in polymechanic, production mechanic or equivalent training
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in precision machining.
• Experience in prototype manufacturing is a significant asset.
• Mastery of CAM programming, ideally on Alphacam.
• Good knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc numerical controls.
• Excellent mastery of chip removal machining processes.
• Ability to work on very high precision parts, with tolerances reaching
• Knowledge of surface and cylindrical grinding, an asset.
• Knowledge of wire and sinker EDM, an asset.
• Good knowledge of trigonometry and geometry applied to machining.
• Proficiency with standard IT tools and ERP systems.
• Fluent French.
