WRS Widmer Rail Services AG is a family-owned railway company (EVU), active in the three linguistic regions (German, French, Italian) of Switzerland as well as in Germany, Italy and Austria. For this purpose, WRS uses its own extensive fleet of locomotives, its own shunting capacities as well as its own staff (drivers and shunters) and trains this staff independently if necessary. WRS operates from several sites in all regions of the country in order to offer perfect service to its customers.

Due to continuous growth, we are looking for our small motivated workshop team in Balsthal, as soon as possible or by arrangement, a flexible and team-oriented person as

Mechanic / Electrician for locomotive maintenance 100 % (m/f/d)

Your challenges:

• Identify and repair vehicle faults
• Perform maintenance, repair and overhaul work on locomotives
• Inspect and maintain locomotives
• Support and implement project work on locomotives
• Regularly participate in training and courses

What you must bring:

• Completed mechanical or electrotechnical training with experience on large equipment
• Experience in railway technology as well as practice with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is an asset
• Good command of German, oral and written (minimum level C1)
• Category B driving license
• Availability for on-call duties and irregular hours (between 04:00 and 22:00 possible)
• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with a precise and autonomous working method
