Machine Operator Tamping Machine

• Operating the track construction machine (tamping machine) for the renewal of track systems
• Performing various functions and tasks in a machine team
• Operating measuring instruments to determine track geometry
• Operating various other track construction devices
• Working in and on the track
• Assisting with maintenance and repair work on the machines at the construction sites
• Performing mechanical and electrical work during the winter revision

Requirements:

• Technical vocational training as an agricultural machinery, truck, or construction machinery mechanic, as well as as an electrician/electrical fitter and automation technician
• Experience with diesel engines and hydraulic units is an advantage
• Flexibility for day/night shifts during the summer months
• High sense of responsibility and safety in the track area
• Physical resilience and accustomed to working outdoors

Car driver's license

• Reliability, high commitment and ability to work in a team
• Good German language skills
