What you bring:

• Completed training as an auto mechanic, automobile mechatronics technician, agricultural machinery or construction machinery mechanic with several years of professional experience
• Further training as an automobile diagnostician, technical clerk or similar is an advantage
• Experience in direct customer contact and skill in dealing with people and technology
• High willingness to learn and good comprehension
• Good German skills
• Driver's license of categories B / BE / A (categories C / D an advantage)
• Minimum age 25 years

Your working environment

With its ten departments and over 2,400 employees, the Department of Economic Affairs and the Interior fulfills important tasks in policing, law enforcement, penal enforcement, migration and integration, municipal supervision and economic affairs. The General Secretariat provides the central services for the Department and is the interface to the overall administration.

The traffic experts at the Strassenverkehrsamt of the Canton Aargau play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient mobility. They inspect all types of vehicles -- from light passenger cars to heavy commercial vehicles - and ensure that they comply with technical and safety-relevant specifications. Additionally, we conduct driving tests for all categories - from motorcycles to buses and trailers.
