As the largest municipality in the Canton of Solothurn, the city of Olten faces diverse urban developments. For the civil engineering department, we are looking for a qualified and committed personality to ensure the structural maintenance and operation in the field of civil engineering for various infrastructure objects, due to the retirement of the current position holder as of 1 March 2027.

Your area of responsibility

As a construction manager in the field of infrastructure, you are responsible for the structural maintenance of public playgrounds, green spaces, and school facilities, as well as outdoor and bicycle parking facilities. You plan and accompany smaller renovation measures on traffic areas and wastewater systems and ensure their professional execution. In doing so, you coordinate the necessary work with internal and external stakeholders and ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and quality requirements. In addition, you supervise the work on-site and contribute significantly to the safe and sustainable maintenance of the public infrastructure.

Your profile

You have completed training as a Bautechniker/in TS with professional experience, as a Zeichner/in EFZ specializing in civil engineering, or as a Bauführer/in SBA or HFP. You bring several years of professional experience and have knowledge in general civil engineering. You are adept in oral and written communication with authorities and private individuals, as well as being a team player and resilient. In addition, you work confidently with common IT applications such as Office 365; CAD knowledge is an advantage. Your negotiation skills, your sociability, as well as your assertiveness and organizational talent round off your profile.
